Directed by Jonathan Demme and adapted from Thomas Harris’s 1988 novel of the same name it follows Clarice Starling, a young FBI trainee who is hunting a serial killer named “Buffalo Bill”, as she seeks the advice of the imprisoned Dr. Hannibal Lecter a brilliant psychiatrist and cannibalistic serial killer.
