This week for the second entry of Spooky Month, Conor picked the 1988 horror comedy Elvira: Mistress of the Dark. Directed by James Signorelli it stars Cassandra Peterson as eccentric horror hostess Elvira, a character previously established in the television program Elvira’s Movie Macabre. The film’s plot centers around Elvira inheriting a house that is nestled in the heart of an overtly prudish community. The film’s screenplay was written by Peterson, John Paragon, and Sam Egan.
