Happy Spoopy Month!! We had our horror adjacent month in September and now we’re in the thick of spooky time and Zach thought the recent 2020film Relic would be a good opener. Directed by Natalie Erika James (in her feature directorial debut), from a screenplay by James and Christian White it tells the tale of a daughter, mother and grandmother who are haunted by a manifestation of dementia that consumes their family’s home. The film stars Emily Mortimer, Robyn Nevin and Bella Heathcote in some great performances in particular Nevin’s portrayal as the grandmother.
