#158: That Time We Watched River’s Edge

With Don being on a Crispin Glover kick he looked for a film he hasn’t seen with him in it and he found the 1986 film River’s Edge, though we wish he hadn’t. Directed by Tim Hunter and starring Crispin Glover, Keanu Reeves, and Dennis Hopper, it follows a group of teenagers in a Northern California town who are forced to deal with their friend’s murder of his girlfriend and the subsequent disposal of her body by the river’s edge. Screenwriter Jimenez partially based the film’s script on the 1981 murder of Marcy Renee Conrad in Milpitas, California.
