This week we’re beginning a shortened theme month of Murder Mystery films, and what better way to start off then with an adaptation of one of the genre’s greatest writers Agatha Christie’s book Murder on the Orient Express. Directed and starring Kenneth Branagh, the film follows Poirot, a world-renowned detective, as he seeks to solve a murder on the famous trans-European train in the 1930s. With great performances for an ensemble cast consisting of Penélope Cruz, Willem Dafoe, Judi Dench, Johnny Depp, Josh Gad, Derek Jacobi, Leslie Odom Jr., Michelle Pfeiffer, and Daisy Ridley this film will keep you guessing until the very end.
